Agathe Gramet-Kedzior

Agathe is a feminist who has a passion for women’s health issues and health policy. Before joining CFC, Agathe completed her Master’s of Social Work at Carleton University. Her thesis explored the ways in which the human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine Gardasil was portrayed by the Canadian print media. She received her Bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Socio-Cultural Anthropology with Minors in Women’s Studies; and Latin American Literature and Culture. During her time at McGill University, Agathe founded the Women’s Abortion Support Group (WASG) to provide a safe space for women to discuss their experiences of terminating a pregnancy. She has volunteered with numerous community organizations, particularly in Latin America working on reforestation and community development projects. After working as Project Manager at Canadians for Choice, Agathe transitioned into the role of Acting Executive Director. Agathe is thrilled to be a part of Canadians for Choice and during her time at CFC, she hopes to educate Canadians about accessibility barriers and to contribute to building a sex-positive society.
